I started a part-time preparator gig at Catharine Clark Gallery and was lucky enough to have my first show be Nina Katchadourian’s “Seat Assignment,” which is entirely comprised of cell phone shots aboard various flights over the last couple years. She only used the things she could find around her, such as back-of-the-seat magazines and reflections of her co-passengers from her belt buckle. She has a hilarious “Flemish” portrait series from within the plane bathroom, using cowboy hats and tissues. It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time:
